Meet the Freddie Loves Team

Freddie Loves is owned and run solely by Alison Dowler.

Hello.  I'm Alison and I am the owner of Freddie Loves.  I am a qualified, experienced teacher of German and French but decided, after having a lockdown baby, that wanted to do something more creative whilst using my vast knowledge of teaching but in a different way.  I turned my passion for crochet into a business and I love to create beautiful makes, design patterns, and teach crochet courses in my local community and from my home workshop, affectionately named 'The CroShed'.

I pride myself on creating fully taught courses which are designed to be both supportive and challenging at the same time.  Small groups ensure you get dedicated time with me as your teacher. And once your course ends, it doesn't stop there!  I continue to keep in touch with all my learners and I'm happy to advise and help out when they need it.

Having both knitted and crocheted all my life, I believe crochet (and all types of craft) is so good for both our mental and physical health and I encourage anyone and everyone to take it up!
