One of my most popular makes ever are these gorgeous little Christmas Trees! They have an Scandi-feel to them: basic, simple, yet beautiful. And this crochet Christmas tree pattern is really beginner friendly, too. Using basic stitches, you can make these trees in no time at all.
They work well as a single hanging ornament but I particularly like them made into a garland using different shades of green. Imagine them hanging above your fireplace - stunning! Or, how about making your own Christmas cards and sticking these onto some blank cards??

You can use any weight yarn and corresponding hook for this pattern. I used DK (light worsted #3) and a 4mm hook. They look good using cotton type yarn, too. The stars that I stuck on the top (I started off sewing them on until orders for the trees went mental and I resorted to using hot glue to save time!) are little wooden buttons from eBay but you can get similar in most craft shops. I threaded the trees onto lengths of twine (Amazon) to make the garland as I love the rustic look that the twine gives.
You need green yarn (one or two shades) and some brown yarn for the trunk.
This pattern is written in US terms but only uses the Single Crochet stitch which is a Double Crochet in the UK so fairly straightforward if you like to use UK terms.
